i am sooo excited about all the snow!
i’m hoping that it keeps up, and we won’t have school tomorrow.
i just want to stay home and read this book all day:
Rob Bell is an amaaazing speaker. We watch his Nooma videos on wednesday nights at youth. he’s awesome.
this book is about the connections between sex & God. i can’t wait to start reading it. i’m about one chapter in, and i’m loving it so far.
last night, cassie and i decided that in order to feel like our Christmas break wasn’t completely wasted, we had to go out. so we went shopping for a bit, and then went to see a movie at the palace (aka, cheap movie theater). we saw “Law Abiding Citizen”, which has Gerard Butler (yum) and Jamie Foxx (a-a-a-a-a-alcohol) in it. It was the most tense 2 hours of my life. I was curled up in a little ball, covering my eyes most of the time. It’s just.. intense.
Anyways, after we left the mall, and headed over to the theater, there was like, a little dusty layer of snow on the ground, and it wasn’t doing anything anymore. so we decided to go ahead and see the movie. at 11:30, we got out of the movie, and the ground was completely covered, with a good crunchy layer of snow to walk through. we decided it was too slick to drive, so we called my parents to come get us. we didn’t get home till nearly two am. it was the longest wait everrrr.
to occupy our time, we read the love section of seventeen & rocked out to lady gaga and modest mouse. (odd mix?). but it was one of the best nights ever.
there have been so many incidents in the past two years or so where my parents have had to come pick me up in the most odd circumstances.
a) last night.
b) going to nixa in the middle of the afternoon without telling the parents. friend’s car broke down. we had to have them come get us, because he was afraid to call his parents.
c) this is the good one: last year, on new years eve, miss amy and i went to joplin without telling my parents to go to a nevershoutnever concert. big mistake. they drove all the way to joplin (an hour and a half ish away) and picked me up. it was terrible…. never doing that again.
so yessss. this would not be the first time i’ve had to wait on my parents to come pick me up in the middle of the night. hahaha
i do love them :]
happy sundayyy <3
