well, it is this girls 19th birthday today!
i shall spend my wonderful, wonderful birthday baking *homemade* cupcakes, visiting with friends about our new tattoos, and enjoying the day in general.
it is my official last year of teenager-hood. i’m so excited for this next year, it brings sooo much new & exciting stuff for me (college, a very sparkly, pretty ring..? :]).

the boyfriend already gave me my bday present which consisted of a note (he writes me notes and leaves them in my mailbox. he’s cute), a copy of “The Bus Driver Who Wanted To Be God” by Etgar Keret (it is a book of short stories, including Kneller’s Happy Campers which was what the movie Wristcutters, aka favorite movie ever, was based off of), and *drumroll…* the Limited Edition, 70th Anniversary, 3 disc, Blu-Ray Gone with the Wind DVD. HOLY FREAKING COW. I about died. I have been wanting this for sooo long, but I wasn’t about to drop like 80 bucks on a movie I already own. My boyfriend is theee coolest ever :)

birthdays are pretty fun, i guess :)

for real! I have a tattoo now!! :)
Colby was wonderful, he held my hand AND took pictures! True best friend ;)

hahaha, the “pain” photos. :)
and… the finished product:

i am sooo in love with it. hopefully my parents will be fine with it eventually. hopefully.

after that, i went to see miss cassie at the tea room (that i’ll start working at in a few weeks!) and wished her a happy happy 18th birthday. she gets her first tattoo tomorrow! its a feather with scripture curving under it. it’s going to be beautifulllll.
i also took the opportunity to take a few pictures of the adorable, adorable back room that is the “hangout” for our friends at the tea room.

isn’t it just so cute?! :) i can’t wait to work there.

wellllll. i should probably go.
and do something productive.

cupcakes for all

The other day, Miss Cassie celebrated her 18th birthday (which is actually tomorrow), by having a cupcake decorating party at the tea room in Marshfield! :)
It was so much fun. We shared sooo many laughs and creepy stories, and caught up with the friends we hadn’t seen in a few months.

birthday girl with a birthday cuppycake:)

let me tell you.. I thoroughly enjoyed the homemade buttercream icing :)
Oh and yes… I went to Florida:)

these little campers were evvvverywhere along the road in Seaside, FL. If you ever get the chance to go down there, GO. Seriously the cutest place in.the.world.

my cute little family. :) minus trevor of course. he chose not to come.. lame-o.

also.. i never showed you some of the fourth of July pictures!

Tomorrow is tattoo day. I will officially be inked for the rest of my life. How… scary? And exciting.

homeee, sort of.

I am “home”!! :)
Actually, I’m in St. Louis (fifteen minutes from Miss Janel!!) staying the week with my aunt, uncle, and baby Max. I’m so stoked for this next week.. I’m hoping that Les will take me to Jilly’s for a cupcake soon. I’ve never been there, but I skipped out on cupcakes while in Florida… so I NEED one!
Max & I are chilling out and watching the Bachelorette, since I was majorly confused on the days of the week, and thought it was Tuesday, pretty much all day, so I was super rushing Leslie to get home as fast as we could so I wouldn’t miss the series finale of The Hills. I have been obsessively watching the marathon like all weekend. So I must see the finale! Hahaha… lame. Max & I will be looking forward to that tomorrow night.

I don’t have much to say…
Except tattoo is (hopefully) on Saturday.. I ran into some trouble with scheduling my appointment, so hopefully they’ll still be able to fit me in over the weekend.
I also have a cupcake party to attend on Saturday night for Miss Cassie’s 18th birthday.
MY birthday is next Thursday!! What are you all getting me?? ;)
P.s. come to my birthday party. Those of you who have been to Nonna’s (cough, Emjay, cough) … you’ll know exaaactly why I’m having my party there. :)

Xoxo times infinity,

so, i was made a little video greeting… but obviously, wordpress doesn’t seem to agree with me on the issue, so… there won’t be a video today. sorry charlie :(
anywayss…. cute little update on the happenings here in good old florida..

yesterday, i slept in… it felt so nice. after a 13 hour drive, it felt good to just sleep..even if it was on the couch. i went to target & to the grocery store to pick up necessities for le beach house & then went to the pool with my aunt and mr. max (who is sooo adorable.. he kept dipping his face in the water).
my mom and aunt have been here for the past few days, before my dad and brother even came down to join them.. they said that the beach had been on red flag..which means you can’t swim.
but today was yellow, so we could get in the water, but you’re supposed to be extra cautious and such. sooo.. i didn’t exactly swim, but i sat my chair on the sandbar and let the water cool me off. it was amazing.
and then the water turned brown.. yeah. not cool.
they’ve got planes flying back and forth over the beach searching for oil, and little carts with people walking and picking up tar balls. yeah.. way not cool.
however, so far this has been a fun trip.
tonight leslie (my aunt) and i are riding bikes down to Seaside, which is the town that The Truman Show was filmed in.. ugh. let me tell you… The Truman Show is one of my favorite movies. This is completely lame.. but my tv in my room does not work with DVD players, so i only have a vhs player (old school i know..) and so… i am constantly watching The Truman Show, The Breakfast Club or The Langoliers. Hahaha. The Truman Show is by far my favorite to watch. if you’ve never seen it… seriously. go watch it n.o.w.
But yeah. we’re gonna head down there and go to an adorable little cupcake shop that’s housed in a vintage camper much like this one..

so yes… i must make a cupcake/coffee run very, very soon. hopefully it’ll cool down enough to make the half hour bike ride enjoyable :)

okie dokie, enough about my endless traveling (i’ve been all over this summer! kansas, arkansas, new york, and now florida..)
lets hear about your summer travels.. any fun plans? :)

have an amaaaazing weekend :))

sooo lately, as in a few hours ago, the boyfriend and i were texting it up, because i was on a forever long trip to florida (i’m here, and comfortably..on a couch. boo). we were making plans, and talking future stuff.
i’ve never been in a relationship that i’ve been able to do that…at least not in a serious sense. & its exciting.
we talked of how i’ll be starting college this fall, and i’ll be done in two years (!!!) if i pursue the culinary arts program, with my focus being baking & pastries.
of course, this is my dream job. owning my own bakery & cute little place to call my own. being able to have the creative freedom to build a business how i want it. i love the idea. however, we were thinking in terms of how realistic that idea is. of course, that got us on a whole other topic (my high level of indian blood. ha!)
then we started thinking…how possible is it for me to plan a wedding while finishing school? and how the heck will we pay for the stinkin thing?
we are way in over our heads, and i think we both know that. but for some reason… there’s a sense of security in all of it. its quite the lovely feeling.
anywho… just some thoughts. i mostly can’t sleep… so this is the product of my newfound insomnia :)

p.s. while the boy and i were talking bakeries and businesses, and how springfield will most definitely not need a 4th bakery (and not to mention all the coffee shops that offer pastries & baked goods…), and how that really upsets me because i LOVE springfield. i love this area of missouri with my whole heart and i never ever want to live anywhere else… and the thought of having a business here that is exactly needed kind of upsets me. he then asked me if i would feel better if he took me to see Band of Horses in october in kansas city. ummm yes. i do feel better:) perfect boyfriend award goes to tyler. :)
